When asked where is she from, the answer is "everywhere." Tammy was born to a military family, and she is very proud of that. She comes from four generations of songsters. She can still remember her grandmothers, aunts and cousins in the kitchen cooking and singing at the same time.
Tammy started singing at the age of twelve in the middle school choir. From there, she went on to singing in church choirs and with different worship teams. She learned the importance of worship from her worship leader in her early years. Her worship leader told them "always be ready to worship."
Three of her greatest joys in life are being a wife to James, a mother to Jaelynn, and a worshiper. Her motto in all three of these areas is, she doesn't "have to" she "gets to."
